Janelle Monae with The Blow - 8/21 @ Union Green
Union Productions is excited to present Janelle Monae with special guest The Blow as this year’s Last Call Before Fall performers! The event will take place on Saturday, August 21 on the Oglesby Union Green. The Blow will perform at 7 p.m. and Janelle Monae will play at 8 p.m.
Janelle Monae, who has been called a “true visionary” by Sean “Diddy” Combs, has combined genres such as funk, pop, jazz and soul to create “an organic symphonic sound”. Her first full-length album, “The ArchAndroid”, was released in May; the first single, “Tightrope” features Outkast’s Big Boi.
Opening for Janelle Monae is The Blow, the Portland, Oregon-based electro-pop project of Mikhaele Yvonne Maricich.
