Maria Bamford stars in her own web sitcom on SuperDeluxe.com, and the new Comedy Central Series, “The Comedians of Comedy Tour.” Variety has named Bamford in their “Top Ten Comics to Watch.” She has provided comedic voice-overs for the Nickelodeon series “CatDog” and has been a guest star on Oxygen series “Hey Monie!”

And recently, Maria landed roles as Mrs. Beady- the Neurotic Farm Wife in the movie and TV versions of BARNYARD, creations of Steve Odekerk and Nickelodeon Animation. Some of her other credits include, STUART LITTLE 2, LUCKY NUMBERS, Dharma and Greg and The Trouble with Normal.

Taken from Wikipedia: “Neil Hamburger is a stand-up comedian character played by Gregg Turkington. His pacing is off, and he clears his throat nonstop through his entire routine (often to keep overzealous fans from shouting out his punchlines), which has caused critics to tag him as “the world’s ‘worst’ stand-up comedian.” He has performed his brand of comedy, much of it anti-humor, in front of audiences from the New York University Thompson Center to Jimmy Kimmel Live and is often compared to Tony Clifton[1]. One of his most famous gags is the ‘Zipper Lips,’ in which he asks an audience member a question. If the audience member doesn’t respond, Hamburger produces a verbal stoush that produces his Zipper Schtick. A common phrase used by the comedian is ‘But that’s my life!’”

Comedian Greg Giraldo will be on campus as part of Comedy Central’s InDecision 2008 tour. Comedians James Adomian and Ben Glieb will also perform. James Adomian is best known for his impersonation of George W Bush.

This event is sponsored by the Jewish Student Union and will be held in the Union Ballrooms. It is FREE for everyone and starts at 8:30pm. Ages 18+

Brian Posehn prides himself on being a nerd and a metal head. He has been on RENO 911, Just Shoot Me, The Sarah Silverman Program, and so much more. If you enjoy comedy at all, you’ve probably seen him.

In 2005, Posehn came to the CDU with Zach Galifianakis, Patton Oswalt, and Maria Bamford on the Comedians of Comedy tour. Now he is returning for a headlining show.

You may have seen Michael Showalter in the movie “Wet Hot American Summer” or maybe from the short-lived comedy central show “Stella”, or from the classic MTV sketch comedy show “The State”… but on February 8th, you can see him in the Club Downunder for what is going to be one of the funniest shows of the year.

He also has a new CD out called “Sandwiches and Cats” on JDUB records.

Before becoming a regular cast member on Saturday Night Live, Fred Armisen has written for Conan O’Brien, been in a punk band “Trenchmouth”, and also played drums for the Blue Man Group.

Maybe Fred will bring the whole blue man group? Maybe he’ll do his impression of Prince? Who knows? You’ll have to go to the show now.

The Upright Citizens Brigade is an improvisational comedy and sketch comedy group from Chicago. Formed in 1990, former members include Horatio Sanz, Amy Poehler, and Matt Walsh.

After relocating to New York, UCB got a deal with Comedy Central, and stayed on the air for three seasons from 1998 to 2000. The group continues to do sketch comedy today, and their touring company is coming here to Florida State!

They will be in the Union Ballrooms here on campus. The doors open at 8pm and the show is FREE for everyone!!!
