Brooklyn born indie rockers The Drums quickly rose to fame in 2010 when their debut eponymous album hit the shelves. Their surf rock revival jams–mixed in with 80s synths and frontman Jonathon Pierce’s earnest and heart wrenching lyrics–won over critics and listeners alike. With the release of their sophomore album last month, Portamento, the band is has taken a more refined approach, letting Pierce’s familiar straight to the point style of melancholy crooning lead you down a road of self-discovery. They are a frenzy of dance and emotion live, and definitely one not to miss.

Io Echo is a L.A. based duo known for spooky keyboard drones, ominous bass lines, and keys mixed with heavy rock ‘n roll backbone that leaves you with goose bumps. Fronting the band is Ioanna Gika, whose dreamy soft-spoken demeanor between songs transforms instantly into strong, ethereal voice that sets the mood.
