The Air Force Reserve and Florida State’s Union Productions are pleased to announce that The Wayans Bros., comprised of Shawn and Marlon Wayans of the famous comedy family, will be performing at the Tallahassee Leon County Civic Center on Wednesday, October 5! Shawn and Marlon Wayans have gained success on both the little and big screen as actors, comedians, directors, and producers, and are two of the ten members of the well-known Wayans comedy family. The two brothers frequently work together both on screen and off. They got their start on the sketch comedy show In Living Color back in the ’90s, before creating their own show The Wayans Bros which ran through the second half of the decade. In 1996, they co-wrote and starred in the parody film Don’t Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood, and then later popular satire film Scary Movie, which was directed by their older brother Keenan. In 2000, they co-hosted the MTV Video Music Awards, and following the success of Scary Movie and its subsequent sequel, they also went on to star in 2004’s wildly popular White Chicks, and 2006’s Little Man. On top of their movie screenwriting, they also produce and provided voices for a Nickelodeon cartoon, Thugaboo.
