Cellist Ben Sollee will be playing Club Downunder on February 26th! He’s performed with banjo virtuoso Béla Fleck in the Sparrow Quartet, but his set at CDU will be more low-key. His smooth voice coupled with an alternating pizzicato and bowed cello technique make for a refreshing, welcome approach in the well-tread singer/songwriter realm.
Daniel Martin Moore will be opening. His Sub Pop debut will appeal to fans of laid-back, unadorned folk. Interestingly, Moore is the only artist that the legendary label ever signed due to the strength of an unsolicited demo alone. Come see what the fuss is about!
